Burning bus part of terror alert
Adjust font size:

A group of people flee from a bus after it caught fire in a large-scale anti-terror drill in a stadium in Shanghai's Pudong New Area yesterday.

The drill involved handling explosives, fending off chemical attacks and rescuing hostages. As one of a series of drills conducted recently in the city, yesterday's exercise was designed to enhance its readiness to tackle possible terrorist attacks before the 2008 Olympic Games opening in early August in Beijing. Some of the soccer matches will be played in Shanghai.
