A crude oil storage tank with a capacity of 100,000 cubic meters is under construction in Shanshan, Northwestern China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on Monday, July 13, 2009. As China's biggest crude oil reserve base, Shanshan oil reserve base is designed to have a total capacity of 8,000,000 cubic meters. So far, 10 crude oil tanks of similar capacity have been put into use and others are still under construction. [Xinhua]
