Relief goods being delivered from across China

Relief goods and other materials from Chinese provinces and cities are on their way to the quake-hit region of China's northwestern Qinghai Province.
About 40 tonnes of instant food, including bread and instant noodles,would arrive by air at the quake-stricken Yushu area from China's Shandong and Guangdong Province, Thursday evening, according to Shandong's civil affairs authority and Guangdong Charity Federation.
Sichuan Province, which suffered 8.0-magnitude earthquake in 2008 and received massive help from all over the world, immediately sent 10,000 quilts Wednesday immediately after the quake occurred. Another 900 tents were being transported by truck Thursday, Chengdu Charity Federation said.
Sichuan police had given the "green light" to all vehicles carrying relief supplies, said Sichuan Public Security Department.
Beijing, Gansu, Hubei and Fujian would donate 27,000 quilts in total, some of which had already been delivered, according to their respective charity organizations.
Conch Group Co., Ltd. in Zhejiang's Wenzhou City of east China had suspended export orders since Wednesday afternoon, and started making tents specially for the Yushu region, a company spokesman said Thursday.
Apart from tents and quilts, more than 1.3-million-yuan (about 191,000 U.S. dollars) of medicine had been arranged by Jiangxi Province of eastern China and would be transported to Yushu shortly, said Director Fang Ya of Jiangxi Red Cross.
