3. Li Xiaobai, first "impresario" of the model industry

Since he took over the New Silk Road in 1986, Li Xiaobai has devoted his talents to selecting elite models and applying for the right to host international contests. In 1989, the first New Silk Road Model Contest was successful. In 2003, the Miss World Beauty Pageant came to China. After 20 years of development, New Silk Road has become China's most influential and most authoritative brand in the modeling industry.

As China's lone "impresario" in the field, Li Xiaobai discovered and trained many well-known models like Du Juan and Zhang Zilin.

4. Cai Weizhi:first fashion 'mover and shaker'

Born to a wealthy family, Cai Weizhi created the vogue journal West East and City Magazine in 2000. He promoted the cooperation between Pierce Brosnan and Li Gong to be representatives of a national brand in the same year. In 2001, combining entertainment and fashion together for the first time, he created the Leica Fashion Awards, thus starting a new era of China's "Oscar". In 2003, he presented Du Juan to the American model market and helped her become China's most successful model of the day. In 2007 he signed an advertising contract with Maggie Cheung, Qi Shu and Jerry Yan, aiming to promote Chinese actors on the international scene.

Cai is also the strategic planner for some world-famous brands in the Chinese market, such as LV, Dior, Chanel, Armani, TOD'S, Hugo Boss, Jean Paul and Gaultie.
