Visitors to the ongoing International Scientific Life Exhibition in Shenzhen have been wowed by a new invention-the toxin-free glue that's safe enough to serve as fish food.

The exhibiting booth by a bio-product company has draw large number of onlookers as the exhibitors were feeding a bowl of goldfish with a bottle of glue, a Monday report by the local newspaper Information Times said.

"The product is the first botanical liquid glue in the world and has been awarded by the Friends of the United Nations for its green quality," Zhu Shouhui, president of the company said.

Away from pollutants formaldehyde and benzene, the product was used in constructing the National Center for the Performing Arts.

The exhibition, with the banner of "Technology makes a better life", also showcased high tech items in fields such as digital science, energy saving and healthy lifestyle.
