Ancient merchant ship unearthed in Heze, Shandong

Relics experts inspect an excavation site in Heze, East China's Shandong province on November 23, 2010. A 13-meter-long and five-meter-wide ancient ship was discovered and dug out from a construction site in Heze, and about 110 other relics were discovered nearby. [China.org.cn]


A 13-meter-long and five-meter-wide ancient ship was discovered and dug out from a construction site in Heze, east China's Shandong Province, on September 20, 2010, according to a local historical relic expert. The ship was identified as a merchant ship of China's Yuan Dynasty(1271-1368) and about 110 other relics were discovered nearby.
