Gezilixinzi is an ancient folk art. Actors dressed in various costumes use iron sticks to hold lighter performers – usually children – in the air to make them look as if floating. From a distance, the display is quite magical and impressive.

Gezilixinzi of Nanwang Town, Zibo City, Shandong Province, has a history of more than 500 years, and the art has been listed as one of items of China's intangible cultural heritage.
