Shandong Airline lands its 10 millionth passenger

Shandong Airline said farewell to its 10 millionth passenger this year after its flight SC1162 from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport landed in Jinan Airport on Thursday.

Zhang Xingfu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shandong Airline said that it was a milestone that marks the airline's development as well as a breakthrough for Shandong Province's civil aviation.

He said that Shandong Airline has 55 Boeing 737s and over 110 flight routes. More than 2,000 flights travel to 60 cities nationwide each week. In addition, it has opened flight routes to South Korea, Japan and Taiwan.

Zhang said that the passenger traffic from January to November has increased more than 20 percent compared with the same period of last year. In addition, Shandong Airline will have 100 aircrafts by the end of the "12th Five Year Plan" (2011-2015).
