The third Asian Beach Games will be held in June in Haiyang, a coastal city of Shandong province.
With its opening ceremony to kick off on June 16, the games will run from June 16 to 22 and features 49 events for 13 sports, including beach soccer, cliff climbing, windsurfing, powered paragliding, beach volleyball and beach basketball.
Athletes and technical officials from 44 Asian countries and regions will participate in.
The major venues are now nearing completion and will be available for use next month.
As one of five major multi-sport galas in Asia, the biennial competition was held in 2008 in Bali, Indonesia for the first time and the second was in Muscat, Oman.
