Linyi city to build international trade center

Linyi shopping center in Linyi city, Shandong province, is planning to invest 1.39 billion yuan (US$ 220.73 million) in building an international distribution center.

Linyi shopping center is one of China's oldest wholesale markets and largest distribution centers. It plans to expand its area up to 10 million square meters and build an international trade zone plus an e-commerce park covering an area of 200 mu (13.33 hectares).

The center shall go by the name of 'Shandong Model Services Industry Park.'

Transactions at the shopping center came to a total of 85 billion yuan (US$ 13.5 billion) in 2011 and its 2012 target is 100 billion yuan (US$ 15.9 billion).
