Shandong's foreign trade continues to rise

In the first half of this year, the total value of imports and exports in Shandong province reached US$116.05 billion, increasing by 4.8 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year.

Exports rose by 1.6 percent to US$60.13 billion and imports soared 8.4 to 55.91 billion.

Shandong's exports to emerging markets maintained fairly rapid growth. Exports to Russia and Australia rose by 12.7 and 20.1percent respectively. Meanwhile, exports to the United States, Japan and EU rose by 3.2, 5.7 and 4.7 percent respectively, while exports to the Republic of Korea fell 6.5 percent.
