Xia Geng, vice governor of Shandong province, led an economic and trade study delegation to Taiwan from Nov. 19 to 23.

During the tour, the group conducted extensive exchanges with Taiwan's business community, focusing on how to deepen economic and trade cooperation between Shandong and Taiwan.

During the visit, the delegation learned more about the development, plans and structure of Taiwan's electronic information industry.

The building of the Yellow River Delta High-Efficiency Economic Zone and the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone and the planning of strategic new industries were introduced by the delegation during the tour, which laid a foundation for bilateral cooperation in new information technology, raw materials, alternative energy, medicine and marine development.
