The city of Rushan is China's green tea production base. Tea in Rushan is of superior quality because of the city's geographical advantages, including the large temperature difference between days and nights and the longer tea-growing season.

Tea in the north contains more polyphenols, amino acids and other healthy substances such as vitamins, minerals and trace elements than tea in the south. Tea in the north also possesses a mellow taste, lasting fragrance, and requires longer brewing.
