The Confucian mansion, temple and cemetery in Qufu was recently named one of five “must-see” destinations for parents with young children by the Shangong Province Bureau of Tourism.

The bureau said the Qufu site was chosen for its educational merits. Activities like ritual observation and “The Analects of Confucius” recitations at the site will foster an interest in traditional culture and teach children better communication skills, according to the bureau.

Other sites chosen as “must-see” destinations were Taishan Fantawild Adventure Park, Qingdao Underwater World, Ji’nan Paomaling Wild Zoo and Taishan Scenic Park.
