Reports predicted that a large number of visitors were planning to visit the Dezhou Aquarium and Theme Park, known as the world's largest indoor aquarium. The photoelectric gifts from Huangming Sun Valley formed yet another extremely popular Expo attraction. The Xiajin Yellow River Forest Park carried out a campaign with local characteristics in view of the pending arrival of its annual "mulberry fruit festival." The Dong Tsi cultural streets, adorned with a beautiful streetscape, showed off the hospitality of the Shandong pavilion, whereas the photos of the magnificent Jinshan Temple fascinated many Beijing tourists.

The Beijing International Tourism Expo, with the exhibition area covering 35,000 square meters, was initially launched by the Beijing Tourism Development Committee in 2004. The 2013 Beijing International Tourism Expo attracted 887 agencies from 81 countries and regions, as well as 26 provinces and autonomous regions.
