Taierzhuang, an ancient enchanting town
The ancient town of Taierzhuang in Zaozhuang City has a 2000-year- old history and was built under the Han dynasty, developed under the Yuan dynasty, and flourished during the reign of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The town was burnt once during World War II and rebuilt with the help of the municipal government of Zaozhuang. In 2011, Taierzhuang became a 4A scenic spot and in 2012, it went on to become the the 7th 5A scenic spot in Shandong province. [Xinhua]
