Andrew Stoner, Deputy Premier of New South Wales, Australia, and his delegation started a visit to Jinan on July 1. The vice-governor of Shandong Xia Geng attended the talks held between the two sides and made a speech.

During the talks, heads of the relevant departments gave a general introduction to Shandong province, and put forward some cooperation intents and suggestions to the NSW delegation.

Xia said that Shandong is one of the most dynamic provinces on China's East Coast while New South Wales is the most developed and resource-rich state in Australia.

Cooperation between the two has bright prospects and they are hoping to set up communication mechanisms and enhance their cooperation level.
