Import and export volume of Shandong Province reaches new record

According to the statistics of Qingdao Customs, the total import and export volume of foreign trade reached 68.63 billion dollars, an increase of 8.5 percent compared to last year, showing a good momentum of growth.

Export volume grew by 2.9 percent, while the import volume increased by 14.6 percent. The total import and export volume was 23.83 billion dollars, a year-on-year rise of 9.9 percent, setting a new record after August.

According to the statistics, the United States, European Union, Korea, ASEAN and Brazil were the province's major trading partners in the third quarter. The import and export volume with them accounted for 53.1 percent of the total import and export volume of the whole province over the same time period. Among them, the U.S. was the largest export market and Brazil was the largest place to import raw materials from.
