Shandong SME exempt from tax of 22.75 mln yuan

The policy of temporarily exempting small and micro-enterprises' value-added taxes and sales taxes has been carried out for more than three months in Shandong Province.

About 249,300 enterprises in the province have enjoyed preferential tax breaks, accounting for a monthly average of 66.95 percent of SME.

The value-added taxes exempted totaled around 22.75 million yuan (US$3.73 million).

During the period from January to September, 90,000 SMEs were exempted from income taxes totaling around the sum of 300 million yuan.
