The biggest flower and seedling market in Shandong Province will settle down in Changqing District, Jinan City, according to the district's forestry authorities.

With a total investment of 15.999 million yuan (US$20.63 million), the market will cover an area of 3,000 mu (200 hectares).

The project is divided into two phases, and the first one will start at the end of this year and end in July, 2014. The second is planned to start in October, 2014 and end after one year.

The project is expected to be built as a high-and-new-tech agglomeration and one-stop trading platform combining flower and seedling exhibition, sale, auction, logistics, education, and information platform, according to Wang Qingbo, director of the district's forestry bureau.
