6 Shandong cities listed in China Top 50 Cities in Financial Resources In 2013, six cities across Shandong Province were listed in the China Top 50 Cities in Financial Resources.

The financial resources mentioned here refer to the public financial budget revenue which consists of the tax revenue (including 25 percent of value-added tax, 40 percent of individual income tax, business tax and corporate income tax) and non-tax revenues.

The contributing factors of the public financial budget revenue of a city mainly include the administrative level and scale, the local economic development, the industrial structure, the financial and tax system, as well as the incidental factors of that year.

Jinan ranked 10th in the Top 20 Provincial Capitals; Qingdao ranked No. 6 in the Top 25 Non-provincial-capital Cities.

Some cities were unexpectedly included in the Top 50, such as Weifang of Shandong. In 2013, the public financial budget revenue of Weifang reached 38.39 billion yuan, ranking 33rd, much due to the development of its county economy.

The ranking of the public financial budget revenue of a city stands in positive correlation with its GDP.
