Shandong promotes e-commerce

According to the newly-released implementation suggestion to promote the information consumption in order to expand domestic demand, the Shandong government will try its best to promote the information platform trading volume such as cloud computing and e-commerce transactions to more than 2 trillion yuan (US$325 billion) by 2015.

By 2015, the fixed broadband penetration rate will reach 60 percent. The Broadband Access capacity in urban families will reach 20Mbps, and in some cities even up to 100 Mbps. The 3G Network will cover urban and rural areas, with more than 40 million users to use 3G and 4G networks.

Meanwhile, the government will support companies such as Haier and Hisense in developing intelligent mobile terminal and digital home intelligent terminal and other information products.

In addition, Shandong will speed up cultivation of its information consumption market. It will develop digital publishing, interactive new media and mobile multimedia, as well as promote the consumption of cartoon games, digital music and network art. In addition, it will develop agriculture e-commerce, mobile e-commerce applications and cross-border e-commerce development.
