Confucius Memorial Service of 2013 China International Confucius Cultural Festival [iqilu.com] 



Instead of a cultural festival of the opening ceremony, a seriesof cultural performances with local folks taking part in were held on International Confucius Cultural Festival last year.

This change not only carried out eight regulations of CCCPC, but also represented Confucianism.

The Master said, "Keep expenditure under proper regulation and love your fellow men." Confucianism has profound and far-reaching influence on China's traditional culture, so thrift is always regarded as Golden Rule of regulatinga family or even governing a country. Thrift indicates that China, a developing country, takes the responsibility of mankind.

Confucius spoke highly of thrift. The Master said, "This is frugality. I would follow accepted practice on this. "To be temperate, kind, courteous, restrained and magnanimous." A man of virtue does not seek to eat to his content or dwell comfortably. "Confucius memorial service used music and dance to represent Confucius spirit. Abided by Confucius spirit, a thrifty memorial service was a fine demonstration of Confucius spirit.

Major participants of the festival were local folks, which indicated the Confucius "be happy with local folks". Cultural festival not only saved a great deal of appearance fee of the big stars, but also ignited local folks' passion to participate in.
