China to launch country's 1st space station module

Tiangong-1, China's first space laboratory, is designed as a test-bed to develop capabilities needed to support a larger, inhabited space station complex. The Long March II-F rocket that carries Tiangong-1 is ready in the launch pad in Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. Tiangong-1 will be launched between 9:16 pm and 9:31 pm on Sept. 29. China.org.cn will provide exclusive coverage on this event.
