Morocco firmly supports the stand of the Chinese government on issues related to Tibet, said Taieb Fassi Fihri, Morocco's Minister Delegate of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, on Wednesday.

During a meeting with visiting Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Fu Ziying, Fihri said China has achieved an all-round development in recent years in economic, social and cultural aspects, including the advancement of the Tibet autonomous region and the lives of Tibetan people.

Fahri said, some western countries, however, kept exaggerating issues related to Tibet deliberately, distorting facts and "demonizing" the Chinese government.

According to Fihri, every country has its unique history and can pursue its own way of development, while no other country has the right to intervene.

Morocco and China has been actively coordinating and cooperating with each other in international affairs, and the two countries share many common interests and viewpoints, said Fihri, adding that Morocco highly appreciates China's principles of mutual respect for sovereignty and none-interference in other countries' internal affairs.

The Chinese vice minister, who is leading a delegation of businessmen operating in IT, textiles and renewable energies, started visiting Morocco on Wednesday.
