Quake-damaged road reconstructed to border of epicenter
Adjust font size:

The reconstruction of a damaged road to Wenchuan County, epicenter of China's strong quake on Monday, progressed to the county border at Thursday noon.

The road from Lixian to Wenchuan, on which repair workers made the fastest paces, had been cut off after a 7.8-magnitude quake struck southwest China's Sichuan Province.

Some other roads to the county had also been blocked, making rescue work rather difficult.
