Singapore rescuers arrive in quake-hit areas

Rescue team from Singapore arrived in Chengdu, capital of the quake-hit Sichuan Province in southwest China Friday and was heading for Shifang city to assist rescue efforts.

By now, rescue teams from Japan, Russia, the Republic of Korea(ROK) have arrived in quake zone. Second batch of rescuers from Russia is expected to arrive early Saturday morning.
