The international community has pledged 210,200 urgently needed tents for southwest China's quake zone and 47,900 tents have already been delivered, China's Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said 155 national governments, NGOs and more than 10 international and regional organizations had expressed willingness to give cash aid amounting to almost 1.9 billion yuan, of which 668 million yuan had reached the ministry account.

Fifty-four countries and NGOs expressed willingness to give relief materials worth a total 524 million yuan, of which 151 million yuan worth of materials from 31 countries had arrived, Qin said.

He expressed "heartfelt thanks" to the foreign governments, organizations and individuals for their donations.
