8,152 makeshift shelters built

Workers build makeshift shelters for quake survivors at a temporary resettlement zone in Dujiangyan City of southwest China's Sichuan Province, on May 27, 2008. Up to May 26, a total of 8,152 makeshift shelters were built in quake-affected areas. Among the makeshift shelters, 7,263 of them were built by Sichuan Province, 712 under the assistance of other provinces and 177 by community donations.
