Qiao Chuanxiu, Chairman of CPPCC Zhejiang Provincial Committee.

Born in January, 1954, and a native of Shao County, Anhui Province. She joined the Communist Party of China in October, 1973 and began working in March, 1975. Postgraduate of Party School of the CPC.

1975-1981: Secretary of the Party Committee of Yangxian Public Community, in Shou County, Anhui Province, Deputy Director-general of the Organization Department of the Anhui Provincial Organization Bureau, and, Director of the County Women's Federation.

1981-1987: Deputy head of Shou County, Member of the County's Standing Committee and Deputy Secretary of the County's Committee.

1987-1992: Deputy Secretary of Shou County's Committee and Head of Shou County.

1992-1995: Deputy Secretary of the Local Committee in Fuyang.

1995-1996: Deputy Secretary of CPC Fuyang Municipal Committee and Chief of the Arrangement Department of Fuyang Municipal Government.

1996-1999: Member of the Standing Committee of Anhui Province and Director-general of Organization Department of Anhui Province.

1999-2001: Deputy Secretary of Anhui Provincial Committee and Director-general of Organization Department of Anhui Province.

March –June 2001: Deputy Secretary of CPC Anhui Provincial Committee.

2001-2006: Deputy Secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPC.

Deputy Secretary of the Party members' group of All China Federation of Trade Unions in November 2006.

2006-2008, she was appointed as the Vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions; Member of the 11th NPC Standing Committee in March 2008.

2011, she became Chairman of CPPCC Zhejiang Provincial Committee.

Alternative Member of the 15th and 16th Central Committee of the CPC.
