National Health Commission clearly states that children are susceptible to NCP. At present, there is no serious or death case among children patients. Their symptoms are comparatively mild.

2. How would children contract NCP?

The disease is mainly spread through the respiratory droplets generated by patients when they cough, talk loudly or sneeze, or through touching the mouth, nose or eyes with infected hands.

Nursing mothers should adopt protective measures. The mother should wear a mask, wash her hands and keep the nipples clean when breastfeeding. If the mother has suspicious symptoms or is confirmed with novel coronavirus infection, she should stop breastfeeding and be quarantined.

4. Can children eat chicken, duck and fish?

Yes, but the meat must be thoroughly cooked. Besides, do not pre-chew the food for the children or blow on hot food to cool it down.

5. Should the children’s room be ventilated?
