The State Council Information Office (SCIO) is to organize a major cultural program in Israel – "Experiencing China in Israel" - in mid-to-late October. The program will include a series of cultural activities including "My Dream" performed by the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe, and "China Vision" performed by the Beijing Modern Dance Company. There will also be "A Close Look at China" exhibition, an exhibition on China-Israel relations, a China Film Week, and a China TV Week.

SCIO head Wang Chen has been invited by Tel Aviv University to make a speech on China's achievements in the 60 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, and on China's long-standing ties with Israel.

The event is sponsored by the SCIO and the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and supported by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the Chinese Embassy in Israel, Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sport, and the Israeli Ministry of Tourism. Israel's El Al Airline is providing 1 million yuan (US$146340) in sponsorship for the event.
