China Honors People's Volunteers in the War against US Aggression and Aid Korea

Various activities were held across the nation Wednesday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the dispatching of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) to Korea to fight against US aggressors and aid Korea.

In Beijing, Chinese President Jiang Zemin delivered an important speech at a mammoth gathering of over 6,000 participants to mark the occasion.

Many people from across the country visited the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution in Beijing, where an exhibition featuring the event was being held.

Commemorating activities were also held in the provinces of Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Shandong, Jiangxi and Anhui, Tianjin Municipality, and the Ningxia Hui and Inner Mongolia autonomous regions.
