Senior leaders of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Wu Guanzheng, Li Changchun and Luo Gan Friday discussed issues like anti-corruption, cultural development and judicial reforms with lawmakers of the 10th National People's Congress (NPC) in Beijing.
  
Wu, Li and Luo, all members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, joined in the panel discussions of the NPC delegations to the top legislature's ongoing annual session from the southwestern province of Guizhou, northwestern province of Shaanxi and southwestern province of Sichuan respectively.
  
After hearing the Guizhou lawmakers' opinions on the building of a clean government, the prevention of job-related crimes and the building of a harmonious society in China, Wu, who heads the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, said preventing corruption is of equal importance as severe punishment of corrupt officials. He also highlighted the protection of the interests of the general public.
  
Li, who is in charge of the Party's cultural and ideological work, told the NPC deputies from Shaanxi that the country's ideological and publicity work must be closely linked with the people and that the country's cultural productive forces must be further emancipated and developed.
  
Luo, also secretary of the Committee of Political Science and Law under the CPC Central Committee which oversees the police and judicial work, exchanged views with lawmakers from Sichuan on how to deepen the reform of the country's judicial system and how to improve the quality of law-enforcement personnel at the grassroots levels.
