Traffic Accidents Kill 5, Injuring 2 in Anhui

Five people were confirmed dead and two others injured in two traffic accidents that occurred Sunday in east China's Anhui Province, local police sources said on Tuesday.

One of the accidents happened at around 7:00 on Sunday morning when a motorcycle ran into a truck on a highway in Nanling County of Wuhu City, killing two people on the motorcycle.

The other occurred at 6:20 on Sunday afternoon when a car collided with a tricycle in Jianshe Township of Shouxian County. The road crash killed the female tricyclist surnamed Zhang and twofarmers who were unloading the vehicle, and injured another two, including the car driver surnamed Huang.

Causes of the accidents are under investigation.
