The sports lottery had produced 78 millionaires last year in east China's Fujian Province, a source from the provincial Sports Lottery Managing Center said Sunday.

The sales volume of the sports lottery reached 1.98 billion yuan (US$238 million) increased by 14.9 percent year on year, which contributed 680 million yuan (US$81.9 million) of public welfare fund for China.

The games of the Thirty-six Selected Seven, Thirty-one Selected Seven and Seven-star had produced 151 prizes of special grades and one of good fortune. Seventy-two got one million yuan which included 33 prizes of five million yuan.

Football lottery of Fujian had created 382 prizes and 6 prizes got one million yuan.

Experts said, it's very good for the Fujian Sports lottery to increase under the condition of wild running of Liuhecai lottery and the newly developped products of the sports lottery last year lured some investors.
