Seven people were killed and ten injured in a traffic accident in northeast China's Jilin Province Wednesday, local police authority said.

The tragedy occurred at 7:00 PM when a 42-seat shuttle bus carrying 18 passengers overturned after the driver tried to avoid a tractor at a bend in a road in the county of Liuhe, Tonghua City.

The injured were all taken to hospital, and local government officials and police officers are investigating the accident further.
