Beijing Police Smash Another Well-organized Prostitution Ring

Beijing police smashed another large and well-organized prostitution ring after closing an Internet-based prostitution ring early last month, Beijing Daily reported on Thursday.

Beijing police rounded up 35 suspects after discovering that a suburban bathhouse was a front for prostitution, said the paper.

The Baihuiaoyuan bathhouse located in Xiaobao village on the outskirts of Beijing opened last November but was found to be providing sex service.

The bathhouse even had extra security measures to ensure its clients were not followed, the police said.

The police had to go undercover pretending to be customers. They arrested three clients who were caught having sex deals with the prostitutes, the paper said.

Early last month, Beijing police stopped a sophisticated online operation that was bombarding Internet users with millions of messages a month relating to sex services.
