Qinghuangdao Port Has Most Coal-ship Berths in World

Qinghuangdao Port has the highest number of berths for coal ships in the world after the fourth and fifth phase of construction at the port was completed and approved on March 18, 2007.

The 150,000-ton berth at Qinghuangdao is the largest coal-shop berth in the world. The fifth phase of the project was designed to coincide with the rebuilding of the Dalian-Qinghuangdao Railway. The coal handling ability of Qinghuangdao Port will now rise 65 million tons to 193 million tons per annum. Moreover, the designed handling capability of the port will reach 223 million tons a year.
