Fire Kills Two, Injures 23 in Inner Mongolia

A fire has killed two people and injured 23 others, including five seriously, in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local authorities said on Monday.

The fire broke out at about 10:30 AM on Sunday in a wood-processing company located at Daqin Tal Town, Naiman Banner, Tongliao City of Inner Mongolia, said a spokesman with the Regional Work Safety Administration.

The fire was put out at 2:10 PM on Sunday, and all the injured people are in hospital, the spokesman said.

Local authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
