HK Bun Festival
Adjust font size:

Steamed buns are for sale one day before the Bun Festival at Cheung Chau island in Hong Kong May 23. As one of east Asia's religious spectacles, the traditional event celebrates the islanders' deliverance from famine centuries ago and is believed to placate ghosts and restless spirits.

Islanders and tourists watch a qilin dance as part of a parade one day.
