Man Flees After Killing Six in Guangxi
Adjust font size:

A young man has been listed as wanted by local police for connection with the murder of six people, including two kids aged three and five, in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Xu Li'an, 18, from the Yutang Village of Pingle County, was suspected of committing the homicide at about 8 PM on Tuesday in a four-story apartment owned by a man surnamed Li in the Fengming Village of Yangshuo County.

The victims included Li, his mother, his wife, his underage nephew and niece, and one of his two employees.

Only Li's son and the other employee managed to avoid being killed, but the son was wounded seriously. Li's daughter also escaped the killing because she went to work Tuesday night.

A friend of Li told Yangshuo police that Xu had pursued Li's daughter but met strong objections from Li and his wife.

"He probably has a grudge against Li and his wife just because of this. But little did we think that he would use such a brutal manner in revenge," the anonymous friend was quoted as saying, by the Beijing News.

Xu fled after the killings and is still at large.

Police did not identify the weapon Xu used to commit the crime.
