Seven people were killed in a road accident on Tuesday on an expressway in northwest China's Gansu Province, police said.

The accident occurred at 1:30 PM when a minibus crashed head on into a sedan at Jia'an Expressway, which links Jiayuguan City and Jiuquan City in the western part of the province.

According to the police, all four people in the minibus and three in the car were killed immediately.
