College Graduates Eager to Get Married
Adjust font size:

As job-hunting becomes ever more challenging for China's college graduates, many college girls are eager to get married even before graduation to avoid the challenge. Thus dating parties have grown in popularity, with some even resorting to dating agencies.

Li Li, a senior in Shaanxi University, has already had 3 dates this year, with her parents are arranging the fourth candidate. The previous three included a public servant, the heir to a family enterprise and the boss of a private business, but none of them fulfilled her parents' requirements.

Many girls in Zhejiang University can't wait to get married, too. Dating ads with very high requirements listed are very common on the university's online forum these days.

It is reasonable for college students to pursue a well-off and stable life, but love should always come first in marriage, says an expert.
