Post Graduate Displays Enthusiasm for Civil Servant Exam
Adjust font size:

A post graduate student has spent the past two years taking civil servant examinations for various central and regional departments in ten cities and provinces, according to Shanghai Youth Daily.

The student says the handsome housing subsidies, medical allowances and stable working conditions are the biggest attractions of a civil service career.

Beijing Morning Post quotes human resource experts saying job hunters whose only aim is the civil service display a lack of career planning. It says they should know the qualities and advantages that come with being a public servant aren't suitable for everyone.

Young people wishing to carve out a career in government require a clear concept of public service and healthy motives for wanting to become a civil servant.
