Three people in a family in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region were murdered and an eight-year-old girl was seriously injured early Tuesday, local police said.
Pang Jiangwu, 44, a migrant worker from north China's Hebei Province, was murdered around 4 AM. Tuesday in his rented house in Shulinzhao Town in Dalad Qi (County), a local police official said.
Pang's 34-year-old wife Yang Guihua and 13-year-old son Pang Zhengbing were also killed. Their eight-year-old daughter Pang Ruru was seriously injured, but was out of life danger after receiving emergency treatment in a local hospital.
Police said Pang's brother, Pang Jianxiong, 36, was suspected to be the murderer.
More than 200 police officers had been mobilized to track down 36-year-old Pang Jianxiong but his body was found in the Shulinzhao Town of Dalad Banner on Wednesday morning, reported Wang Jianping, vice director of the Erdos public security bureau.
Preliminary investigations show that Pang hanged himself.
Wang said that information provided by Pang Jianwu's father and other relatives made Pang Jianxiong, who worked with his brother, the chief suspect.
According to the police, the two brothers fell out over money they had earned together. Pang Jiangwu reportedly kept the money for himself and refused to give any to Pang Jianxiong.
Pang Jianxiong was imprisoned in 1997 for robbery and was released in January, 2004.
