Lu Hao      

Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Gansu Provincial Committee

Lu Hao, a native from Changli County in Hebei Province, was born in April 1947. He started work in September 1968 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in April 1981.

Sep. 1963-Sep. 1968: Lu studied at the Shenyang School of Chemical Technology.

Sep. 1975-Sep. 1976: Lu studied in the Chemical Engineering Department at the Dalian University of Technology.

Feb. 1978- Feb. 1982: Lu studied in the Chemistry Department at Lanzhou University.

Sep. 1968: Technician for the Fourth Research Office of Unit 125 of People's Liberation Army.

Jul. 1971-Feb. 1978: Technician of sate-owned 5266 Factory.

Feb. 1982: Teacher and political counselor for the Chemistry Department of Lanzhou University.

Apr. 1982: Secretary of the General Office of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee, and secretary of the provincial Party chief's office.

Nov. 1985: Vice chief of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee's Organization Department.

Feb. 1993: Standing committee member and head of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee's Organization Department.

Mar. 1996: Standing committee member of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Lanzhou Municipal Committee.

Nov. 1998: Deputy secretary of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and concurrently secretary of the CPC Lanzhou Municipal Committee.

Jan. 2001: Vice governor and acting governor of Gansu.

Jan. 17, 2001: Governor of Gansu.

Apr. 2002: Standing committee member and deputy secretary of the tenth CPC Gansu Provincial Committee.

Jan. 2003: re-elected as governor of Gansu.

He was an alternate member of the 15th CPC Central Committee and is currently serving member of the 16th CPC Central Committee.
