Luo Qingquan

Secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee

Luo Qingquan, a native of Hubei Province's Jiangling County, was born in November 1945. He began work in 1968 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1975. He has a college education.

Luo successively served as acting mayor, mayor of Yichang City in Hubei, deputy secretary and secretary of the CPC Yichang Municipal Committee.

He held the posts of deputy secretary of the Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection of CPC, head of the provincial Supervision Department, standing committee member of the provincial Party Committee and secretary of the provincial commission for discipline inspection from March 1996 to June 2002. Starting in January 1999, he also served as deputy secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and secretary of the Wuhan Municipal Party Committee. In October 2002, he served as vice governor and acting governor of Hubei. In January 2003, he was elected as governor of Hubei at the first session of the 10th Hubei People's Congress. In October 2007, he was appointed as secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee. 

He was elected as member of Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC. He is now a member of the 16th CPC Central Committee.
