Lower Tuition for Overseas Chinese University Students
Adjust font size:

Starting from this year, overseas Chinese university students will be charged the same tuition and boarding fees as their native counterparts.

Universities found overcharging overseas Chinese students will be blacklisted and face severe punishment, according to the Shanghai Education Commission. A university will offer an 8,000 yuan (US$1,000) subsidy for each overseas Chinese student enrolled.
