College Students Intern as Toilet Cleaners

Half of the summer vacation has passed, and instead of staying home and enjoying the valuable holidays, more college students have joined the ranks of those working as interns, getting an early taste of real life.

 

 

Two college students in Shanghai work together with local sanitation workers to clean the public toilet.

 

150 students from nine universities and colleges in Shanghai have found intern jobs as toilet cleaners. They were dispatched to 75 public toilets in the city and work with sanitation workers together.

 

 

Tong Haiping, a college student, cleans a urinal in a public toilet in Shanghai. She and another 149 fellow students have found internship as toilet cleaners this vacation. They are in charge of 75 toilets in the city.

 

Besides daily work, the college students also help sanitation workers improve their English skills.
